Turkey Day is upon us and what better way to tolerate the in-laws and extended family than football paired with some bets on the side. We have three games on Thanksgiving and the addition of a Black Friday game to take us into the weekend. As a Minnesotan, there’s now a special place in my heart for the FanDuel Sportsbook at Diamond Jo Casino just across the border in Iowa. With that said, odds are from FanDuel Sportsbook.
Packers @ Lions
To start us off on Thursday, we have the surging Lions and the Packers who are lingering in the playoff picture. I’m picking two players for an anytime touchdown. Sam LaPorta has quickly shown why he was the first Tight End taken in the 2023 NFL Draft. He hasn’t scored in two games, I like for him to get back in the end zone on Turkey Day. Romeo Doubs already has seven (!!!) touchdowns this season. For a team with a mediocre QB like Jordan Love, that is absolutely insane to me. I’ll take them both and parlay them together for some extra coins!

Commanders @ Cowboys
In the afternoon, right around the time I’m regretting that second piece of pie, the Commanders and Cowboys will take the field in Jerry World. Again, I’ll be picking two players for an anytime touchdown. Terry McLaurin has gone quiet the past couple weeks and I think the Commanders will be trailing so there should be plenty of opportunity for McLaurin to find the end zone. Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson has no problem scoring on or off the field. Ferguson has three touchdowns in his last four games and has drawn attention off the field with reports of him dating Haley Cavinder. However, it’s not all good news for Ferguson, his alma mater of Wisconsin will not be bringing the axe home to Madison after their trip to Minneapolis over the weekend. Fun fact: Jake is also grandson of Wisconsin legend Barry Alvarez.

49ers @ Seahawks
Christian McCaffrey was -175 to score an anytime touchdown. I’m not a big fan of laying that kind of juice, so I took it one step further, let’s play for two touchdowns! It’s a crapshoot on which receiver will score for Seattle each week. Lockett has been quiet for a couple weeks, I think it’s time for him to strike again.

Best Bet
With prop bets on each of the three Thursday games, I figured in the spirit of Thanksgiving let’s mix all this good stuff together. I’m going to take a three-team teaser with each of the favorites. This will give us 6 points of relief for each game. If you are unfamiliar with teasers, like a parlay we need all of these bets to hit in order to win, but the 6 points in our favor lower the odds on the payout.

Bonus Black Friday Bet: Dolphins @ Jets
The day after Thanksgiving is often owned by college football. But, I am more than okay with adding NFL to this glorious day of leftovers. If you’ve read this far, you know how I love picking touchdown scorers, so how about two more? The Jets are not good, so if anyone is going to do it, it’s going to be Breece. The odds aren’t great, but who else would realistically score for the Jets? Miami has plenty of weapons and I like Jaylen Waddle to find pay dirt on Black Friday. Those two alone don’t get you much on a parlay payout. With that in mind, I’m adding Tua to have more than 1.5 passing touchdowns to juice up our payout!

Final Thoughts
The week of Thanksgiving is always loaded with football, so let’s add some winners to that equation. Feel free to comment who you’re backing this weekend, and as always let’s collect those coins!! For more sports betting content, follow 10k Bets on X, Tik Tok and Instagram.
