This week on the PGA Tour we head to La Quinta, CA for The American Express Golf Tournament. This tournament is one of the very few unique PGA tournaments, as it’s played on two courses. These two courses are the Pete Dye Stadium Course at PGA West and the Jack Nicklaus Course at PGA West.

Again, it’s so early in the season that it’s hard to get a grasp on whose game is really in form. That being said, we’ve found 2 bets that stand out based on prior success and course knowledge.

This week we are keeping it simple and going back to a couple of our 2023 favorite golfers.

Tony Finau Outright Winner (+3500) Top 20 (+150)

Tony has shown success here at this tournament, finishing Top 20 last year and Top 30 the year before. His length certainly plays a factor and his accuracy percentages are some of the best on tour. I think there’s some great value with Tony this week. Whenever I see Finau at plus money on the top 20, I will likely always jump on him.

Sam Burns Outright Winner (+3000) Top 20 (+130)

Sam, similar to Tony has shown success here in California at The American Express with a Top 20 finish last season. I think these two courses set up fairly well for Mr. Burns. His length off the tee and his birdie-making ability, are both Top 20 on tour. Again at plus money, for a Top 20 finish, I will gladly jump on Sam Burns this week to make a splash at The American Express.

As always, enjoy The American Express golf tournament & Always wager responsibly.
