Charles Schwab Challenge, Will Burns Go Back 2 Back?

Gambling Golf

This week, we head to Colonial Country Club in Fort-Worth Texas for the 2023 Charles Schwab Challenge. Certainly a nice rebound to an action packed week at the PGA Championship. Typically we will see a weaker field after a major as many players will take the week off. Luckily for us golf fans, the field is actually fairly solid making it a highly competitive tournament which was similar to last year.

Colonial has a similar layout to Oak Hill but a little less challenging. CCC is another par 70 but just a touch over 7200 yards. This is a ball striking course and we will be targeting a few players that have solid tee-to-green stats.

We are still on quite the high from last week as Brooks Keopka brought home his 5th Major trophy and we hit big on his 22/1 outright as well as his top 20. We are going to try and run that back again starting this Thursday at the Charles Schwab Challenge.

This week, we are looking into three golfers that we see value in for top 20 as well as outright winner.

Sam Burns

First up is our defending champ, Sam Burns. Sam has been pretty solid this year and has shown success at this course. Sam has incredible length and all parts of his game work well here this week. Despite being defending champ, his value is still pretty good and this week we just cannot pass him up. Sam Burns Top 20 (+145) Sam Burns Outright Winner (+2500)

Sungjae Im

Next up is another golfer that we have backed in a few recent tournaments, Sungjae Im. Sungjae has been an absolute machine this year and we expect nothing less this week. He’s continued to be rock solid and makes little to no mistakes that would take him out of golf tournaments entirely. Sungjae checks all the boxes this week at Colonial. Sungjae Im top 20 (-135) Sungjae Im Outright Winner (+1800)

Max Homa

Our last golfer we are backing this week is Max Homa. Max struggled last week at Oak Hill and I see this is an undervalued golfer with a perfect bounce back opportunity. Max has success at these type of courses and see him playing his way into contention this week. His game is far too solid to pass up the value. Max Homa top 20 (+120) Max Homa Outright Winner (+2200)
