This week on Thursday Night Football the Steelers get ready to host the new-look Titans with Will Levis under center. Both teams are desperate for a win in a crammed AFC playoff race.
Last week we had yet another good TNF game, especially from a better’s view. The Bills went into Tampa Bay and handled business. But how did our bets do? Here’s how week 8 went for our bets between the Bills and Buccaneers.
1. Bills -9 (1U) & Bills 1H -4.5 (1.5U)
If you watched the game you know what happened with Bills -9. Bad beat to say the least. But that’s what makes betting so fun right? For every bad beat, someone is on the other end celebrating the good beat. The Bills 1H turned into a back-and-forth sweat, thankfully the Bucs decided to not kick the 59-yard FG and hand us the 1H win. If we woulda lost both you know damn right I’d be here bitching… but instead we will just laugh this one off. We won the one that mattered, which matters much more than a bad beat.
2. First Score FG +130 (1.5U) & First Turnover Fumble +150 (1.5U)
LADIES AND GENTLEMAN!!!! THE WORLD’S BEST BET HAS MADE IT HALF THE SEASON WITHOUT FAILING US! 1/2 is the name of the game which yet again is what happened last week. The Bills marched down the field on their opening drive, before getting stopped on the 19. Tyler Bass came in and knocked down the easy 37-yard FG, sending our focus to the ladder half.
Unfortunately, we went another week without the 2/2 sweep. Antoine Winfield Jr (Gophers Legend) forced Josh Allen into the INT… and just like that we had another 1/2 week. No complaining it’s all we ask for every week. As long as we have more 2/2 weeks than 0/2 weeks everything is fine, which means everything is perfect.
2B Bonus Bet: Buccaneers 1st Score Method FG +105 (1U)
The bonus bet is hotter than hot can be. 4-0, after a rollercoaster but yet-fun bet last Thursday. Chase McLaughlin had a 50-yard FG on the Buccaneers’ second drive before delivering one of the worst kicks you will ever see.
Funny to millions of people watching. And then there’s the handful of people in the world who are sitting there with a “Bucs 1st score method FG bet”. Technically they say it wasn’t blocked but I think Shaq Lawson got a finger on it. Oh well, he deserved everything he got.
We Will Show This Miss Instead Of The One All Vikings Fans Are Thinking About…
Remember When I Said My Bonus Bet Was 4-0?
Although that miss was horrible, our bet wasn’t lost. Being a kicker requires a short memory, that miss counts the same as one that hits right off the upright. Chase McLaughlin had a chance at redemption from 7 yards farther. REDEMEPTION AT IT’S FINEST!
3. Dalton Kincaid Over 41.5 Yards -110 (1U) & James Cook Under 50.5 Rushing Yards -115 (1U)
Because I took so long on the bet above, I’ll be short and sweet. 1/2 with my first gut being the bet that hit. Dalton Kincaid ended up with 65 yards, while James Cook ended up with 67. Was just one of those weeks.
Week 8 Recap
Week 8 Record: 4-3 (+2U)
Season Record: 18-21 (+3.6U)
Week 8 Preview

The Steelers have all the pressure on their backs as they get ready to host Will Levis and the Titans. Will Levis started his first game last week and shined while doing so. He threw for 4 TDs (including 3 to Deandre Hopkins) while also adding 238 yards through the air. A win this week would not only put the Titans back into the playoff race but would also give Will Levis every right to play out the rest of the season.
The Steelers on the other hand are sitting at 4-3, but the lack of offense is causing drama on and off the field. Another loss this week could cause a midseason firing of offensive coordinator Matt Canada, who is feeling the pressure of being on the hot seat.
IN UTAH EVEN?
Will they get the job done as 3-point favorites?
Week 9 Best Bets
1. Steelers -2.5 -115 (1U)
To buy the half point or not? This is the definition of don’t overthink it and take the team that has been dominant for years. This is one of those bets that you know won’t be pretty, but the Steelers will be the Steelers and get the job done in some way or fashion against the Titans. But as the title states, maybe the Titans found a superstar with Will Levis.
The Steelers are worth -2.5 Just Based On This Video Alone.
2. First Score FG +105 (1.5U) & First Turnover Fumble +155 (1.5U)
My first reaction was shock when looking at these odds until I remembered who’s playing. Nothing has changed on our turnover prop odds (which I LOVE this week) but the first score FG being +105 is quite low. Will the best bet for TNF stay hot?
2B Bonus Bet: Team To Score Longest TD- Titans +105 (1U)
Actually love this bet. My only concern is that Will Levis actually sucks and will get shut down by the Steeler’s defense. All 4 of his TDs last week were long bombs, and combined with Derrick Henry’s ability to break long TDs on primetime TV is always bound to happen as well.
Can our bonus bets move to 5-0 on the year?
3. Chigoziem Okonkwo Over 2.5 Receptions -120 (.75U) & 3.5 Receptions +180 (.5U)
Love Chigoziem Okonkwo reception prop. Last week he was his safety blanket on a week that Will Levis was connecting on long strikes. With a highly skilled Steelers defense, I think Will Levis and the Titans will look to use Chigoziem Okonkwo as a quick dump-down option leading to both of these props hitting.
Best Of Luck
If we can find a way to profit this week I will officially say we are on a mini heater. Did the Titans find the next superstar in Will Levis, or will the Steelers quickly put the silence to that statement?

Some people call me MarTy and some people call me Ryan. Wildcard when it comes to my writing. #FadeMe if I ever tweet out “locks”.
