10K Bets: The Sony Open Betting Preview

Gambling Golf

Ladies and gentleman, we are back. The 2024 PGA Tour season is officially underway. I took last weekend off to get a little gist of who looks good and who looks like they’ve never played golf before.

This week we stay in Hawaii for the Sony open which is the 2nd of the Hawaii tournaments on the PGAT. The Sony Open is played at Waialae Country Club tipping out at just over 7000 yards which is one of the shortest tracks on the PGAT. Unfortunately, unlike last week we do not have an elevated event so many big names took the week off. However, there’s still some value to be had in 2 golfers in specific.

This week, I’m just going with 2 golfers. I typically like to wait a few tournaments into the season before I dive into those playing well.

Matt Fitzpatrick

Fitzy is one of the best if not the best golfer in this slightly average field this week. After a great week last week at the sentry, his game looked to be very solid, especially around the greens. The fact this course is only 7000 yards I expect Matty to grab a lead early and often and really run away with this by late afternoon on Saturday. I think his experience and talent will shoot him up the leaderboard right away. I will be shocked if he’s not in contention come Sunday.

Brian Harmon

BH, yet again steady Eddie. Harmon has played great golf ever since he won the 2023 Open across the pond. This guy has been so automatic. Harmon was exceptional last week with another top 20 finish in an elevated field. Harmon is by no means a long player on tour but on this course you don’t have to be. I expect Mr. Harmon to pick up where he left off last week.
