Mexico Open Bets, Will Rahm Strike Again?

Gambling

This week we are heading to Vallarta, Mexico, home of the Mexico Open. World #1, Jon Rahm, has been just about the hottest player on the tour and is the defending champ! If we had to guess, he will likely hoist the trophy this Sunday, his 5th PGA tour win this season. However, despite the subpar field, there are still hungry players like Tony Finau, Wyndham Clark, and Aaron Rai who may have something to say about it!

Coming off the Zurich Classic last weekend, we saw a surprising team of Davis Riley and Nick Hardy hoist the trophy. The two finished the tournament with scores of 64/66/63/65 to win at 30 under par. My Best Bet long shots came up a little short but showed good fight throughout the weekend which is all we can ask for.

We are all about finding the best value in the golfers that have been playing well this season and I have found two top 20 bets and one Top 10 and one Outright Winner that in my opinion, are too good to pass up. As mentioned above this week I’m going with a few hungry golfers in Aaron Rai, Wyndham Clark, and Tony Finau.

Top 20 Best Bets

The first golfer I like this week is Aaron Rai. Mr. Rai’s last 4 finishes on the PGA Tour have been 13th last week at the Zurich Classic, T48 at the RBC Heritage, T28 at the Valero Texas Open, and T19 at TPC Sawgrass for the Players Tournament. Aaron tends to start pretty hot on Thursday but hasn’t taken that jump into contention come the weekend. I find this spot to be incredibly good for Aaron as the field this week is much weaker than his last 4 tournaments. His game is heading in the right direction. Last year Mr. Rai finished T24 at the Mexico Open and the field was far more competitive than what we have here this week. Aaron Rai Top 20 (+200)

The second golfer I find great value in this week is Wyndham Clark. Mr. Clark has been playing spectacularly this year so far. In 17 events, he’s made the cut in 15 of them tallying 5 top 10s and 7 top 25s in some of the best fields that the PGA Tour has offered. Wyndham is coming off a solo 3rd place finish last week at the Zurich Classic. His game is really clicking right now. Pairing all this with a weaker field this week and I’ll gladly take Wyndham Top 20. Wyndham Clark Top 20 (-105).

Top 10 Best Bet + Outright Winner

Lastly, we are going back to a fan favorite Tony Finau. Tony has the 2nd best odds of winning the Mexico Open and we are all in on Tony Finau this week. These are the tournaments Tony thrives on. This course is a bomber’s paradise and Tony has one of the longest and most accurate drivers on tour. Tony in the 12 events he has played this year, he has made the cut 11 times, has 1 win, 9 top 25’s, and 3 top 10’s. This course shapes his eye to perfection and as mentioned previously, the weaker field plays into his strength as he’s top 3 statistically in the tournament. Love him to go toe to toe with Jon Rahm this weekend. Tony Finau Top 10 (-110) Tony Finau Outright Winner (+750)

In closing, enjoy the Mexico Open and always wager responsibly.
