College Football Playoffs, Ball Drop, and The Twilight Zone. You will watch football all night, and you will watch the ball drop at midnight, but while that comes and goes the Twilight Zone is playing for 51 straight hours. The Twilight Zone Marathon is one of the best traditions on New Years.
I’ve been watching every New Years for as long as I can remember, my dad puts it on every year. Although you can stream the show on Hulu, but there is nothing like it being on TV with the commercials building the suspense. This marathon runs into one problem however, the best episodes are at the same time as the playoff games.You might get bored while watching them, so I’ve created a drinking game. Here are the rules:
Take a shot or drink when…- Rod Sterling appears
- The main character dies (Chug if the main character was dead the whole time)
- Everytime you get confused at what’s going on
- death or satan appears
- the characters are paranoid of aliens
- an alien actually appears
- a nuclear war in the episode or happened before
- main character is involved in time travel
- a robot appears
- the main character is called “insane”
If you can guess the ending twist correctly, everyone else has to finish their drink or take a shot

Exactly like the movie Click with Adam Sandler, Patrick McNulty has the same power to stop time for everyone but himself. The power comes from a stopwatch he receives from a drunk at a bar. Giving you another reason to get drunk at the bar, you’ll never know if a drunk guy will hand you a magical stopwatch.
7:15pm – Living Doll
Hulu – Season 5 Episode 6
The second-ever movie/show about an evil doll, the other being an earlier Twilight zone (The Dummy). This doll was a gift for a young girl named Christie, but the doll has something out for Christie’s father. You will almost start rooting for the doll at the end of the episode.
7:40 pm – Time Enough at Last
Hulu – Season 1 Episode 8
Probably the most famous Twilight Zone’s ever. Henry Bemis loves reading, but is yelled at for it by his wife and boss. He soon finds himself all the time in the world to read but…
8:30 pm – The Hitch-Hiker
Hulu – Season 1 Episode 16
This man lives in my nightmares. However it has an ending that you won’t expect, even for a Twilight Zone.
8:55 pm – The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street
Hulu – Season 1 Episode 22
Seems like the made episode about the yearly block party. All the power goes out and they are looking for someone to blame.
10:10 pm – The Odyssey of Flight 33
Hulu – Season 2 Episode 18
These pilots are either really bad or the best in the world. They lose contact and fall off the radar, but where did they go?
10:35 pm – Long Distance Call
Hulu – Season 2 Episode 22
Billy gets a toy phone from his grandma for his 5th birthday, soon after his grandma. Then it gets pretty fucked up when you hear who is on his phone, and what she wants him to do.
11:00 pm – Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up?
Hulu Season 2 Episode 28
I’ve watched this many times but forget everytime who the real martian is. Kinda gets boring though when they never leave the diner.

Carl Lanser wakes up on a British cargo ship, one that he is familiar with. He knows the fate of the ship but no one will listen to him.
Saturday 9:00 am – People Are Alike All Over

A scientist lands on Mars and believes that people are alike all over. He is treated by beautiful women, and then later their leader. He is given a home that is exactly like a home on Earth. But how nice are these people really?

Him and his dog go raccoon hunting but return in an unfamiliar way.
Saturday 9:10 pm – Eye of the Beholder

Probably the second creepiest creature in the series. Solid twist in this episode but you may see it coming.

Hulu – Season 3 Episode 24
This alien is the creepiest alien in all of Twilight Zones. Also has one of the best twists.
Saturday Night into Sunday 12:30 am – The Dummy
Hulu – Season 2 Episode 33
The first-ever movie or show about an evil doll. It is exactly what you expect when it comes to evil dolls but it still finds a way to be creepy.
Saturday Night into Sunday 1:30 am – Nightmare at 20,000 Feet
Hulu – Season 5 Episode 3
This episode has haunted me forever. The monster on this wing is the scariest thing I’ve ever seen. And why does he mush his face up against the window, it is stuck in my head.

Hulu – Season 5 Episode 19
An old lady starts getting calls in the middle of the night. All the voice says is “Hello” and “Where are you?” repeatedly. It will give you the chills.
