On the 9th “Wild” Day of Christmas

Hockey NHL Wild

On the 9th “Wild” Day of Christmas my true love gave to me, Clark Griswold screaming.

Tonight, the Minnesota Wild play host to a Chicago team that is scratching at the bits and pieces of a dreadful season. Just awful. They put Clark Griswold losing his mind to shame in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.

On the other side, however, Minnesota is absolutely cooking like a Christmas ham. Their play has been amazing the last few weeks, and ICYMI, they have the 3rd most points in the NHL since Nov. 19th. And as mentioned in my previous article, that’s without Ryan Hartman and Brandon Duhaime. Friends, this is the team we know and love.

Marc-Andre Fleury is expected to be back between the pipes against his former team whereas I’d assume Petr Mrazek would get the nod if Soderblom played last night against Vegas. Fleury has been finding his groove since returning from injury a few weeks back and Mrazek, well, anyway.

Now Wild fans. There’s a CHANCE we could see the return of Ryan Hartman tonight which will obviously shake up the lines. I didn’t say it was a for-sure decision, but there’s a CHANCE.

As like any matchup between the Minnesota Wild and the Chicago Blackhawks, the Xcel Energy Center is going to be ROCKING! Gah, I wish I was there. But… this is what I think will happen…

Minnesota Wild: 6

Chicago Blackhawks: 3

So far on projections, I’ve been wrong every night but I’m feeling good about this… Stay tuned.

Tonight’s going to be awesome, the state of hockey is going to be electric, and as always, LET’S. GO. WILD!
