This week, we are back with one of the best golf tournaments the PGA has to offer. The Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club, better known as Jack’s Milkshake Classic, is about to hit the course.
The Memorial Tournament is another bombers’ course as we’ve seen in the past. It’s a par 72 tipping out at 7500 yards. Billy Horschel is the defending champ and although he hasn’t had the best of season, he’ll be hungry to defend his title this week.
This week we will be targeting those that have incredible ball striking ability as we know this is pivotal in winning at Muirfield Village Golf Club. Par 5 scoring this also be on our radar as Muirfield has 4 reachable Par 5’s which in my opinion will determine who hoists the trophy come Sunday Evening. Patrick Cantlay
Our first golfer we’ll back backing this week is one of our favorites, Patrick Cantlay. PC won this golf tournament in 2021 and has all the tools to get him into contention this weekend. His par 5 scoring is top 10 on tour. His ball striking and knowledge of the course is some of the best in the field as well. Overall, Patrick fits this course very nicely and based off his recent success, we see him having a lovely week. Patrick Cantlay top 20 (-150) Outright Winner +1000
Viktor Hovland
Next up for us this weekend is Viktor Hovland. Hov has played pretty lights out this year especially in big time tournaments. We’ve seen him on the first page leaderboard in both major tournaments and we see him thriving this week as well. Viktor is long off the tee, doesn’t make too many mistakes and has his game in excellent form. Viktor Hovland Top 20 (-110) Outright Winner (+2000)
Corey Conners
Finally, the last golfer we will be backing this week is Corey Conners. Corey is coming off a really nice showing at the PGA Championship. Conners has one of the most accurate drivers on tour and I feel this will really help him score this week. His game has been heading in a positive direction during the 2023 season.
