Timberwolves Legend Sets Sights on Olympic Glory in Beach Volleyball

Everything Else Timberwolves

The 2024 Summer Olympics are slowly sneaking up on us, with July 26th being the opening ceremony. My favorite part is sweating out all these random sports that I barely knew existed. Not to mention the timing is perfect also. Right before football & also gives you a break from betting on baseball every damn day.

But now back to the subject of the blog. Beach Volleyball. Why are we talking about beach volleyball? Because a Timberwolves legend is gonna be representing the RED WHITE & BLUE on the beach, in the sand, playing good ole beach volleyball. Which Timberwolves legend you may be asking? CHASE BUDINGER!

Now for everyone who is scratching their head wondering who he is/when he played for the Wolves, I have two things to say to you.

  1. You just weren’t a true fan in the hell days
  2. Don’t be alarmed these were his wolves stats
  • 2012: 23 Games Played. 9.4 PPG, 3.1 RPG, 1.1 APG
  • 2013: 41 Games Played. 6.7 PPG, 2.5 RPG, .8 APG
  • 2014: 67 Games Played. 6.8 PPG, 3 RPG, 1 APG.

Not a legend on the court, just a legend in Timberwolves fans’ hearts.

Beach Volleyball Player Now?

After retiring from the NBA & playing one year in Spain, Chase Budinger decided to focus on beach volleyball. In his first year on the AVP (Association of Volleyball Professionals), he took home the Rookie of the Year trophy. The following year (2019) he not only won the Most Improved Player award but also took home his first AVP win with his playing partner Casey Patterson.

Now all of a sudden he’s representing his home country. He’s only 36 and just started playing professionally 6 years ago. Can he take down the gold? I have NO clue, but find me betting odds and I’ll act like I do.
