I’m here as an advocate for our Viking Fanbase. This team does a lot of things that piss me off. The fanbase does a lot of things to piss me off. I have loved this team with all my being coming up on my 36th year here on earth. I have this conversation with my Mom a lot, and most days I thank her for being a Viking fan which made me a Viking fan, but there are days when I can’t imagine a parent doing that to their child. I’m going to focus on the weird fascination we have around here on the “other” guy when it comes to the Quarterback position. I am one of those people who are guilty of it, I just want to figure out why, and see how I can get to a place of not being a loser.

Let the wandering eyes begin
I did some research, and the Vikings have had 28 different starting QB’s in my lifetime. Now, that makes it easy to figure out why we are always keeping our eyes elsewhere waiting for someone new to come along. It is always something like which arm is going to fall off, which leg, will be attending an orgy on a boat. We really never any clue as to what might happen. Mike Zimmer might just have a dartboard with the craziest shit imaginable and it keeps coming true. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Minnesota_Vikings_starting_quarterbacks#:~:text=Seven%20Vikings%20quarterbacks%20have%20made%20at%20least%20one,2010%2C%20Ponder%20in%202011%20and%20Bridgewater%20in%202014.

Viking Fans are allergic to stability
I don’t know about any of you, but seeing the same QB potentially 4 years in a row turns me on in a stability sort of way. This has never happened in my lifetime. How are we supposed to feel? We are really just expecting the worst. It is what we know. A 4th consecutive season with the same starting quarterback could be the allergy medicine we all need.

The Viking Fanbase
Vikings Twitter is one of the best places on earth. Vikings Twitter is one of the worst places on earth. Those two things are both true, both amazing. We are as damaged as any, but it is honest work.
