A familiar face will return to Minnesota this fall with the addition of Blake Cashman to the Vikings defense. Cashman agreed to 3-year deal with the Vikings worth up to $25.5 million. Cashman went to Eden Prairie High School and spent 4 years in college at the University of Minnesota before getting drafted by the Jets in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Rapid Reaction

YES! This is a great move for the Vikings. Cashman will join fellow former Texan Jonathan Greenard on the Vikes defense for the foreseeable future in Minnesota. Greenard is widely known for his contributions as a pass rusher, but both he and Cashman were key contributors to the Texan’s 6th-ranked rushing defense for the 2023 season.

Final Thoughts

The possibilities of roster construction are truly endless when you don’t have a certain QB eating up all the cap. This also makes it way easier to cheer for the Gophers in the pros when they are balling out for the home team on Sundays!
