We’ve all been there. An ex-girlfriend finds someone so much hotter, much more athletic and someone that has much better slogans than you. You are hurt, frustrated, and above all, jealous. This is the life of Jerry Kill. I have never seen someone so obsessed with another coach since……the last guy who was obsessed with PJ Fleck. There’s a saying out there that describes the current situation with Kill and PJ perfectly. That saying? “hurt people, hurt people”

The One You Gave Away

Jerry Kill left the University of Minnesota in 2015 and has not stopped talking about the program since then. He has gone on to have a bunch of different jobs. Despite that, the one that he gave away is the one on his mind the most. Minnesota is a dream school for a guy like Jerry, so while I understand that he may feel some jealousy towards the new coach and his coaching style, it’s time to move on.

Relationship Math

In relationships, the adage goes that you mourn the relationship for 1 week, for every month you were together. Jerry was coach at the U for 58 months, so he is allotted 58 weeks of mourning. That comes out to a 1 year and a month and a half. By my relationship math Jerry should’ve stopped talking about the Gophers around December of 2016.

Hot New Thing

PJ Fleck, the subject of Jerry Kill and his obsessive performative hatred of the University of Minnesota.

On January 6, 2017, the Gophers hired great recruiter and future National Champion Coach PJ Fleck away from Western Michigan. This sent ol Jerry into a tailspin. He constantly gripes about PJ and how he treats his players, how he runs up and down the sideline and how he thinks the program is PJ Fleck.

Well newsflash Jerry, some of the most successful programs in college kinda revolve around the coach. Ever heard of Nick Saban? Dabo Swinney? Michigan was irrelevant for a time before Jim Harbaugh took over. As for the treatment of players, I find it interesting that most of Jerry Kills recruits are now PJ Fleck guys. They support the program and PJ and his staff helped quite a few of Jerry’s recruits make it to the NFL.

The date everyone in the Gopher program has circled. The Maroon and Gold have opened as a 37 point favorite and they should cover easily. (HAMMER THE OVER) I said it on Twitter when Jerry Kill was invited to speak at some local business group, I hope PJ beats them by 50 and is throwing the ball on 1st down late in the 4th quarter.
